What to do here?
A boat ride is mandatory here. Ask the boatman to take you to Mavinkurve Island. Walking on the Kandla Vana boardwalk is a surreal experience, especially when the sunlight filters through the dense canopy.
The Story & History
These backwaters have sustained the ecosystem for centuries. The mangroves act as a natural barrier against cyclones and soil erosion, protecting the coastal villages.
Important Tips
Mosquito repellent is a must. If you want a private boat ride, bargain with the local boatmen near the jetty. Sunset is the most magical time for photography.
